Madonna Scholar Expectations

If a scholarship award is offered to a student, the student and a parent must sign a Scholarship Agreement accepting the terms of the scholarship. This agreement acknowledges that the Madonna Foundation shares financial and academic records with the high schools, and also includes a photo release for scholars. Madonna Scholars are expected to do the following:

1
Maintain an acceptable academic, discipline and attendance record at school, demonstrating effort.

Madonna Scholars are expected to maintain a minimum of a “C” Grade in all subjects. Students falling below a “C” average will be placed on academic probation with the Madonna Foundation. Weekly tutoring will be required through the school or through the Foundation and paid for by the Madonna Foundation if necessary.

2
Attend and participate in Madonna Scholars’ programming throughout the year.

Each scholar is required to attend events and should plan on spending an average of eight (8) hours per month dedicated to Madonna Foundation programming.

3
Respond to the Madonna Foundation Director and /or Scholarship Manager in a timely matter.

Scholars and guardians are expected to be responsive to the Foundation, returning phone calls and emails within two (2) business days.

4
Stay compliant with Madonna Foundation scholarship expectations and rules.

Cases of noncompliance will be reviewed by Madonna Foundation’s administration and may result in the termination of the scholarship.
