About us

What We Do

The Madonna Scholars Program awards scholarships to female students of all faiths who demonstrate financial need and a desire for academic success. We are the only scholarship organization in the Chicago region focusing exclusively on women’s secondary education.

As students from first-generation and minority backgrounds, our scholars face barriers. The Madonna Foundation’s programming helps them overcome these barriers and acquire the confidence, critical skills and competencies needed for success in high school, college and beyond.

Success Stories

The Foundation annually awards partial tuition scholarships to deserving young women who demonstrate financial need and the potential for academic achievement. Without the Foundation's financial aid, these young women could not afford to attend Catholic high schools.

Apply to become a madonna scholar

The Madonna Foundation has given me so much support throughout my high school years. It has given me the opportunity to receive the best education, where I have made everlasting relationships. It has allowed me to take part in so many experiences that have taught me so much that I can apply to this new journey in my life.

The Madonna Foundation has forever changed my life. Not only did it allow me to attend Trinity High School and receive the best education possible, but they also helped me network along the way. I was able to find new passions and build such a loving and caring community. I have made great connections with my peers and look forward to connections with new peers.

Receiving the acceptance letter from the Madonna Foundation opened a new door to endless possibilities. I was able to pursue an education in a Catholic high school and an all-girls school at that. Thanks to the Foundation, I was able to visit colleges and get a better idea of what I would like in a college. Being a first-generation student, the college application process was very new to me. Thankfully, I had Ms. Betsy by my side as a safe space to reach out to whenever I had some type of doubt or needed an extra push of motivation, never letting me doubt my abilities.

The Madonna Foundation has really helped me learn about a lot of opportunities and experiences by providing workshops for us. It also helped by taking us to go see universities and colleges, which helped me find my future university, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity because it really helped lead the way through high school.

TOOLS & RESOURCES

Scholar Programming

The Madonna Foundation aims to support scholars and their families inside and outside the classroom. We want to provide individuals with the tools, education and confidence they need to find success throughout their lives. With that goal in mind, along with tuition scholarships, we provide additional programs each academic year focusing on college readiness, financial literacy, academic support, leadership training, service learning and spiritual well-being.
